We currently have an opportunity for a Packer at our Manufacturing Plant in Red Bluff, CA.

ROTATING SHIFT HOURS - NIGHTS & DAYS
(12 Hour Shift)

The Packer supports safe and efficient production by feeding material into machines, inspecting finished products, addressing production interruptions, and packing products in the correct configuration. The position works as part of a team to maintain product quality, support machine efficiencies, follow production schedules, and maintain clean and organized work areas. The Duplex Packer identifies and reports quality issues, makes minor machine adjustments, and participates in continuous improvement activities.

Production & Operations

• As a Packer, you will be responsible for providing support for the operation team by working safely to feed material into machines, inspecting product for defects and packing finished goods in correct configuration.
• Make minor machine adjustments to minimize interruptions and ensure quality product.
• Monitor reject bins and replace as needed.
• Promptly address machine/conveyor plug-ups.
• Assist machine operator with duplex machine efficiencies.
• Monitor the product during operation to ensure that it is running smoothly and address any issues that arise.
• Follow production schedules and prioritize work based on production needs.

Quality

• Notify supervisor of quality issues as they arise.
• Follow established procedures and quality standards.
• Inspect finished products for defects or issues, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensure that products meet or exceed quality standards and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.

Safety, Housekeeping & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Ensure that all work areas are clean, organized, and free of clutter.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest ideas for process improvement.

Documentation

• Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

Education/Experience

     Required

• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to speak, read, and write proficiently in English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and protocols accurately.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing production needs.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Basic knowledge of math and measurements.
