SHIFT HOURS

12 Hour Rotating Days/Nights

Responsibilities

The Lift Truck Operator 3 provides safe and efficient movement of materials that supports uninterrupted manufacturing, warehousing, and shipping operations. Drives inventory accuracy, product quality, and on-time customer deliveries by operating powered industrial equipment, coordinating material flow, and maintaining compliance with established safety standards. Works independently within established procedures while partnering across production, warehouse, and logistics teams to achieve operational objectives and continuous improvement.

Safety & Compliance

  • Operate powered industrial trucks and material handling equipment safely while complying with all company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections, report equipment deficiencies, and maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe operations.
  • Secure and transport materials to minimize product damage and maintain workplace safety.

Material Handling & Warehouse Operations

  • Load, unload, transport, stage, and store raw materials and finished goods to support manufacturing and customer shipments.
  • Supply production lines with required materials while removing finished products to maintain continuous operations.
  • Operate sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to support warehouse and production activities.
  • Stack, organize, and rotate inventory to maximize storage efficiency and support first-in, first-out inventory practices.

Inventory & Documentation

  • Verify shipping and receiving documentation, including manifests and bills of lading, to ensure accurate material movement.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and complete required production and material movement documentation.
    Perform inventory verification activities and report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials promptly.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Inspect products and shipments for visible damage and report quality concerns to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve material flow, safety, and operational efficiency.

Team Support

  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members on safe material handling practices and established operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with production, warehouse, and shipping personnel to achieve daily operational goals and customer service expectations.

Requirements

Education/Experience

     Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
  • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain required forklift operator qualification.

     Preferred

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of safe material handling and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs require.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations required for material handling and inventory activities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
