Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Stockroom Team Leader at our Manufacturing Plant in Temple, TX.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

The Stockroom Team Leader is responsible for overseeing stockroom operations, including inventory management, procurement coordination, and material availability to support manufacturing and maintenance operations. This role leads and develops two Stockroom Specialists, ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient material flow, and adherence to company policies. The position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and plays a critical role in maintaining operational uptime and cost control.

  • Lead and supervise two Stockroom Specialists, providing direction, training, and performance support.

     

  • Oversee daily stockroom operations to ensure timely availability of materials, tools, and equipment for plant operations.

     

  • Source, purchase, and replenish materials, tools, and equipment for the manufacturing stockroom.

     

  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy and availability of stock.

     

  • Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.

     

  • Track and process purchase orders, invoices, and receipts in accordance with company policies.

     

  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to forecast material needs.

     

  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and safety standards.

     

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend alternative suppliers or materials when appropriate.

     

  • Maintain accurate procurement and inventory records within ERP or inventory management systems.

     

  • Coordinate with shipping/receiving teams to verify incoming materials against purchase orders.

     

  • Resolve discrepancies with vendors regarding quality, pricing, or delivery issues.

     

  • Establish and enforce stockroom processes, organization standards, and inventory best practices.

     

  • Partner with the Maintenance Manager to prioritize critical spare parts, MRO inventory, and reliability initiatives.

  • Drive continuous improvement in stockroom efficiency, accuracy, and service levels to support plant uptime.

     

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

     

  • Overtime as required based on meeting manufacturing needs.

     

  • Adheres to industry best practices, SOPs, LOTO procedures, and other safety guidelines.

     

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

We Need You to Have

  • 4+ years of stockroom or warehouse experience.

     

  • Leadership experience preferred.

     

  • Prior experience with SAP preferred or ability to learn.

     

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

     

  • Certified forklift operator or ability to obtain certification.

  • Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to follow standardized work.

     

  • Ability to read and interpret documents and count with accuracy.

     

  • Ability to read a basic ruler and use basic math skills.

     

  • Works well independently and with others.

     

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

     

  • Organized with attention to detail.

     

  • Successfully work in a fast-paced and stressful environment while maintaining efficiency.

     

  • Demonstrated computer skills to include proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Teams and aptitude to learn and use SAP.
