We are searching for a Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team located at our fast-paced manufacturing plant in Tamaqua, PA.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for the receiving and processing of all items brought in through the shipping department. This includes, but is not limited to, packaging, parts, production supplies, and other items that support the production floor. Other duties include providing administrative assistance to production department and the production support team as needed.

  • Shipping and Receiving Responsibilities
    • Schedule pickup & delivery appointments for inbound and outbound shipments and maintain visual board of all inbound and outboard loads.
    • Create and print shipping/receiving documents for customer and miscellaneous shipment.
    • Process customer orders for miscellaneous material (scrap, RPP, samples, etc.).
    • Answer incoming phone calls, provide directions, check drivers in for pickups/deliveries.
    • Maintain storage trailer logs.
    • Provide direction to shipping/receiving teams.
    • Accumulate and send shipping records to corporate office.
    • Make appropriate adjustments and reversals for receipts.
    • Assist Accounting with open PO reports.
    • Monitor monthly receiving for accrual purposes.
    • Assist with audit requests.
    • Perform cycle count.
  • General Responsibilities
    • Observe all company mandated safety rules and use proper safety equipment at all times.
    • Notifies appropriate personnel of real or potential safety hazards or violations and takes immediate corrective action when necessary.
    • Provides accurate record keeping and neatly complete all required paperwork.
    • May assist management in special projects within the scope of their position or other areas of the facility as deemed necessary by management.

Requirements

We need you to have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong skills in accuracy, attention to detail, and following instructions are essential for this position
  • Effective communication skills
  • Able to use computer to access Internet, Email, Word and Excel
  • Safety awareness
  • Knowledge of parts numbers, numbering systems, and inventory control programs preferred
  • Able to perform assigned duties without direct supervision.

Internal Employee Requirements:

  • Must meet job posting requirements per plant job posting policy
  • Only regular, non-probationary employees of Reynolds Consumer Products who are actively at work (not on leave of any kind, including disability), are eligible to apply for posted openings

  • Employees must be in good standing to be eligible for job posting opportunities. An employee is considered in good standing if:
    • No more than 5 attendance incidents
    • Not in the first 6 months of a step 2 corrective action. 

Icing on the cake:

  • SAP experience preferred
  • WMS experience helpful
  • Experience working in the Consumer Product Goods industry.
