Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Team Leader located in Carrollton, TX.

 

Pay: $28.77/hour + $0.75 shift differential for nights

Shift: Nights 36/48 rotation 12-hour shift 

Responsibilities

Your Role:

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for coaching and teaching employees in area about standardized work expectations. Must be able to successfully operate all production lines for work cell in the manufacturing area / department and assist other operators in the restoration of flow in a manner designed to produce maximum safety, quality, productivity and minimal scrap.

  • Demonstrate ability to lead team.
  • Coach, model and demonstrate daily desired behaviors for team members.
  • Lead and coach all team members in daily training and development.
  • Understand, teach, and maintain net daily output goals.
  • Be available as a resource in the Help Chain for all team members in your area.
  • Assist in development and maintaining standardized work.
  • Be able to fill in for shift leaders as needed.
  • Participate in skills / leadership development rotation assignments.
  • Consistently model, lead, teach and communicate safe work behaviors and our commitment to providing a safe workplace.
  • Accountable for team safety / hygiene and housekeeping / 5S.
  • Assist with accident and near miss investigation and follow up.
  • Be a member of ERT (Emergency Response Team).
  • Be a resource to help make run/shut down decisions to ensure team safety.
  • Actively participate and lead participation in the IFE (incident free events) process and follow up on identified issues.
  • Be trained and authorized in lock/tag/try.
  • Responsible for maintaining personal conditioning to physically perform essential job functions.
  • Know and teach all quality testing (on and offline) required for your area.
  • Monitor and coach to ensure all quality testing is completed timely and correctly, and address gaps in performance.
  • Be a resource to help make decisions for shutting down machines for quality reasons and ensure routine process maintenance is done.
  • Maintain quality problem detection devices and ensure proper containment of quality problems occurs.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable BRC, SQF, and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product.

Requirements

We need you to have:

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise or direct others.
  • Demonstrated team-building skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy including the ability to use email and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to learn computer program such as SAP, Ignition, etc.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing assignment demands.

Icing on the cake:

  • Post High School education.
  • Experience in a plastics manufacturing environment.
